Access Cities is happy to announce that the next Open Innovation Call will be launched in April 2020, and will take place in Munich. The call will focus on e-mobility and energy storage and will be a collaboration between Munich and the Danish city Aarhus.
As in many cities around the world, the introduction of e-mobility is a challenge facing the energy grid in Munich. There is no doubt that e-mobility is an important tool towards a sustainable future. However, the introduction of e-mobility pose a challenge to the city’s grid system in peak hours. Therefore, this Access Cities Open Innovation Call will be looking for solutions where renewable energy sources are combined with energy storage solutions to accelerate the positive impact that e-mobility can have on urban mobility.
In this Open Innovation Call, Access Cities will invite companies, students and utility owners to collaborate towards a solution that utilises smart energy storage for charging hubs in the urban area.
The details for the call will be launched on our webpage. Keep an eye on accesscities.org for more information on this exciting opportunity.
