Access Cities is now offering free of charge finance advice to Danish small and medium sized enterprises (SME). The finance service sets out to help Danish SMEs get access to the right available funding opportunities to support their internationalisation activities in Singapore, New York, and Munich.
From January 2021, free finance advice is offered to Danish SMEs through the Access Cities project. It is Access Cities project partner EIT Climate-KIC that now will start guiding Danish SMEs in their search for relevant funding sources.
Get access to the right funding
The finance service includes tailor-made sparring, as each funding case is approached individually. Jakob Stolt, Senior Project Manager within Business Development at EIT Climate-KIC explains why one-to-one sparring is seen as an effective way to identify the right funding sources for Danish companies.
“We have chosen to provide individual consultation with companies looking for funding avenues, because the relevant funding depends on the maturity of the business, what that they are offering and what the company is seeking funding for,” says Jakob Stolt and continues.
“For instance, in some cases funding will be needed for feasibility studies to explore or confirm interest and potentials, whereas in other cases the need for funding may be for proof of concept, expansion, export or covering travelling costs.”
The financial advice will be available free of charge for Danish SMEs and start-ups with limited resources and financial capabilities to pursue market opportunities on their own.
Focus on Singapore, New York, and Munich
The Access Cities finance advice will focus on internationalisation activities in the city markets Singapore, New York, and Munich. The aim is to connect companies to Danish or Nordic funding sources and in some cases local funding if the circumstances require.
“It may be relevant in some cases to explore local incentives, support schemes, foundations or partners that can ease the Danish companies’ entry into the city markets. Here, it is important to keep in mind that Access Cities does not engage in the actual fundraising but plays a guiding role.”
